There's a problem and I caused it There's a reason, but I lost it There's a question I should posit Would I rather be basic or caustic? Well, I'll walk the tightrope Till I can't feel my feet Then my equilibrium Will fail as I buckle my knees How do I escape these boxes? Where could I release these toxins? When will I exhaust my options? When I only see basic or caustic? Well, I'll walk the tightrope Till I can't feel my feet Then my equilibrium Will fail as I buckle my knees I'll fall I'll fall I'll fall I'll fall If you listen, I'll be honest There's an answer to solve all this There's no question, it's so obvious I will always be basic and caustic Well, I'll walk the tightrope Till I can't feel my feet Then my equilibrium Will fail as I buckle my knees Well, I'll walk the tightrope Till I float from my heels Then my equilibrium Will let me know it feels Right

Grand Piano 03:58
Sunday night cries me to sleep There are monsters biting at our feet Yeah, they live inside of our dreams And they tell us who we are in the world If lovers are best friends, let's take our chances Just take my hand, and I'll meet you under the trees So play me a song on your grand piano Sing me a tune I can fall in love with Anything, something, just to get this off of our minds You're picking me up, you're putting me down I will be right there in your thoughts and your prayers Just take a shot, we could fake a melody into a make-believe So inject a bit of sense into your range of reaction In the backseat staring out You cleaned the rug of this what's called love And all you said was you had your doubts When you knock on my lover's door at three AM and she lets you in But that's her choice, and now I'm wearing thin So play me a song on your grand piano Sing me a tune I can fall in love with Anything, something, just to get this off of our minds You're picking me up, you're putting me down I will be right there in your thoughts and your prayers Just take a shot, we could fake a melody into a make-believe So play me a song on your grand piano Sing me a tune I can fall in love with Anything, something, just to get this off of our minds I hate how you talk, but I love how you sing Would you play me a tune on those dear sweet keys? Just take a shot, we could take a melody into a make-believe

Don't I Know 03:11
I have never lived in New York City But I can comprehend the depths of just how shitty It is to see a thousand faces in one day And not know a single one by name You’d think by now I’d’ve learned Investments with no returns Don’t I know your name? Don’t we go to the same place? Don’t we occupy The same spaces, you and I? Tokyo’s a place I’ve never been to But I can still relate, it’s a feeling that I’ve been through Seeing a thousand faces And not knowing what their place is You’d think by now I’d’ve learned Investments with no returns Don’t I know your name? Don’t we go to the same place? Don’t we occupy The same spaces, you and I? You’d think by now I’d’ve learned Investments with no returns Don’t I know your name? Don’t we go to the same place? Don’t we occupy The same spaces, you and I?

Golden lights shine on the floor Casting a reflection from the beer that's just been poured Halfway in, halfway out Seems this night has nothing more Catch a couple stares as I stand beside the door Halfway in, halfway out I can't feel my face, tonight I can't feel my face, and that's fine I can't feel my face, tonight I can't feel my face, and that's fucking fine You can try all that you want To hide the simple fact that you're on another hunt Halfway done, halfway gone You've run dry, but not for long Race to fill your mug before you find there's something wrong Halfway done, halfway gone I can't feel my face, tonight I can't feel my face, and that's fine I can't feel my face, tonight I can't feel my face Tonight Don't tell me that you drink to be social Don't tell me you'll proceed to be social Don't tell me what you need to be social Does it take seven drinks to be social? I can't feel my face, tonight I can't feel my face, and that's fine I can't feel my face, tonight I can't feel my face Tonight

Loose Ends 03:30
One day, I woke up bright and early I felt a bit inspired and wrote a story When talking to myself, I thought you heard me I walked you through the plot, but you ignored me And though I haven’t gone and tied up the loose ends Or fleshed out motivations of the characters within I think I found a proper story arc A fitting exposition and a perfect place to start I thought it might be fun to add a twist A surely unpredicted turn of events As I started getting to the gist You stopped me then explained exactly what happens And though I haven’t gone and tied up the loose ends Or fleshed out motivations of the characters within I think I found a proper story arc A fitting exposition and a perfect place to start You said I should stop writing all those tiny little lies That I’ll find inspiration based on someone else’s life The pages that you write, need just to be observed The story that you find will be the one you truly deserve And though I haven’t gone and tied up the loose ends Or fleshed out motivations of the characters within I think I found a proper story arc A fitting exposition and a perfect place to start
